Take a chance and see what happens.

VOCABULARY
Пополним словарный запас и вспомним очень часто использующиеся выражения:

take a chance - решиться (на что-либо); рискнуть; рисковать
give a chance - дать возможность, например:

- I'm not even giving you a chance
- Give me a chance

Еще пример, отрывок из The Greatest Resource:

Nearly a year later, Brian stood in front of a group of leaders and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity. His voice was full of emotion as he explained how important that acceptance and trust had proven in his life as a catalyst for growth. Now, as both a teacher and a small group leader, he was ready to wield great influence in our church in these and other ways. And for this, he thanked me for taking a chance. I didn’t take a chance, I gave one. There is a huge difference. As a leader responsible for the spiritual nurture of others, I do not get to take chances (not in a foolish sense). It’s too risky. I do, however, have an obligation to give people chances to attempt new things for the Lord. It is the greatest resource I can give to another person.

GRAMMAR - uncountable nouns
It seems like it's time to repeat:

"There are some nouns that are usually uncountable in English but often countable in other languagers.
For example:
accomondation, advice, baggage, behaviour, bread, chaous, damage, furniture, information, luck, luggage, news, permission, progress, scenery, traffic, weather, work

There nouns are usually uncountable, so:
i) you cannot use a/an with them (you cannot say 'a bread', 'an advice' etc.) and
ii) they are not normally plural (we do not say 'breads', 'advices' etc.):
I'm going to buy some bread or .... a loaf of bread. (not 'a bread')
Enjoy your holiday! I hope you have good weather. (not 'a good weather')
Where are you going to put all your furniture? (not 'furnitures')

News is uncountable, not plural:
The news was very depressing. (not 'the news were')

Travel (noun) means 'travelling in general'. You cannot say 'a travel' to mean a journey or a trip:
We had a very good journey. (not 'a good travel')"[1]

There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend that I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in this same place.
But, it isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

Chapter Three
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in ... it's a habit ... but, my eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.

Chapter Four
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.

Chapter Five
I walk down another street.
