Dear subscribers!

This week we are exploring some unfamiliar territory as we put English slang under our linguistic microscope! Textbooks are great when it comes to grammar, vocabulary and structure, but they won't help you understand colloquial English on the streets of London.

More often than not, the type of English taught outside the UK is not the same as that spoken by native Brits! Spending a little time to acquaint yourself with English slang and colloquialisms will help you gain a better understanding of both the language and its people.

Slang sometimes contains sexual references and swear words, so be warned that the following post is not for the fainthearted! To view the article, click here!
